Architecture Design Space Modeling
The architecture design space model determines which architectures can be generated and how they can be compared, and is defined by:
- Allocations between architecture elements, for example functions to components and vice versa.
- Architectural choices:
- Function fulfillment: choosing which component(s) fulfill a given function.
- Component characterization: choosing how many times to instantiate a component, and choosing values for component-specific parameters.
- Component connection: choosing how to connect component(s) to other component(s).
- Performance metrics: the quantitative metrics to measure, and to optimize for (objectives) or to include as constraints.
ADORE GUI
The main way to create and inspect the model is using the ADORE GUI, to which the following materials provide a good introduction:
Example ADORE models: https://github.com/jbussemaker/ADORE-Example-Models
For more details on the modeling process, like when to choose which element, refer to the modeling guide.
Python API
It is also possible to edit the model programmatically using the Python API, for more details see the Python API Guide and the API reference.
